Response Spectrum Analysis (Dynamic Analysis) by using STAAD Pro :

Today I am going to describe you about the Response Spectrum Analysis (Dynamic Analysis) by using STAAD.Pro software.

Methodology: The design lateral forces at each floor in each mode is computed by STAAD in accordance with IS-1893. Please see the following pictures (my hand-notes) for details procedure.

The values of (sa/g) can be calculated by Time Period (T) or, Damping Percentage (%).

    1. Shahadat, Dynamic analysis for ETABS is not so difficult process. It is by-default command & process. But in case of STAAD Pro, it needs some extra command & extra procedure. That is why, at first, I have published the STADD Pro procedure.
      Will try to publish Dynamic Analysis procedure by ETABS soon. Thank You.
